![]() ![]() ![]() That gives me some hope that if I do end up getting a Wyze Lock, capturing its state will eventually be supported, or that I can manage to get at least my own to work. The holdup to getting that to happen automatically is that the bits involved and/or their values are different for everyone's individual devices. So in theory you could be able to monitor the event logs and find the bits that change to report the locked state and then create a sensor that responds to that data. Out of curiosity what zigbee platform are you using? (zha, zigbee2MQTT, deconz) I have noticed that the compatibilities and features sometimes vary, although I believe the lock state issue currently exists on all the supported platforms.įrom what I've read online, it seems like the lock does report its state, the issue is working out the specifics in a manner that will work for everyone without any manual coding experience. Overall I would recommend the Kwikset over the Schlage imo but I've also read about how so many others have been able to use their Schlages just as well.Īwesome! It's good to hear from a real person on their experience! I can lock the door from the HA app too! The kwikset key matching is super nice as well, especially compared to the Schlage, all Sclage's had to be taken into my local box store and they were annoyed I was asking them for help re-keying the devices to the same key, □. I currently have about 20 different z-wave devices on the network now and just added a kwikset 916 and love it, paired instantly through secure pairing. I tried the other 2 remainder about a year ago and they too did not want to pair, I have no idea why. Even after reading/watching probably as many threads as are out there on these devices at this point, I still have not gotten them to pair. ![]() I purchased three locks, 3 years ago now, and only every installed one of them after having trouble connecting to my aeotech z-stick. Wanted to add my thoughts here as well since I'm in the process of replacing my schlage connet locks. ![]()
